CETEX 24mm high-tenacity PP fiber for canal lining, reinforcement & to minimize damage of structure

24mm Polypropylene (PP) Micro-Fibers: High-Aspect Ratio

24MM - High-Performance Structural Reinforcement

CETEX 24mm Polypropylene Fibers are extra-long, high-tenacity monofilament fibers designed for demanding civil engineering projects. With a high aspect ratio, these 24mm fibers offer superior mechanical anchoring within the concrete matrix.

While shorter fibers are used for crack control in plaster, the 24mm length is specifically engineered for Macro-Micro reinforcement in thick concrete sections, where it bridges larger internal stresses and provides enhanced ductility to the structure.

Primary Applications

  • Heavy-Duty Pavements: Used in concrete roads and highway shoulders to withstand heavy axle loads and thermal expansion.
  • Canal Linings & Dams: Ideal for hydraulic structures where high water velocity and erosion resistance are required.
  • Large Precast Structures: Enhances the structural integrity of large pipes, bridge girders, and septic tanks during lifting and transport.
  • Shotcrete for Slope Stabilization: Provides high-build thickness and reduces rebound in thick-layered sprayed concrete for mines and hillsides.
  • Industrial Foundations: Used in heavy machinery foundations to dampen vibrations and prevent deep-seated cracking.

Key Benefits of the 24mm Length

  • Superior Pull-Out Resistance: The extended 24mm length provides a larger surface area for bonding with the cement paste, making it harder for cracks to pull the concrete apart.
  • Ductility & Toughness: Improves the "Post-Crack" performance of concrete, allowing it to absorb more energy before failure.
  • Erosion & Abrasion Control: Specifically effective in hydraulic structures (canals/spillways) to prevent surface wear caused by high-velocity water flow.
  • Replacement for Light Steel Mesh: In non-structural applications, 24mm fibers can replace light-gauge welded wire mesh, saving labor and material costs.
  • Chemically Inert: Unlike steel fibers, 24mm PP fibers will never rust or corrode, even in aggressive chemical or marine environments.

Dosage & Mixing Guidelines

  • Standard Concrete Reinforcement: 0.9 kg to 1.2 kg per cubic meter
  • Heavy-Duty / Hydraulic Structures: 1.5 kg to 2.5 kg per cubic meter
  • Mixing: Because of the length, 24mm fibers require a slightly longer mixing time. Add to the aggregate/water mix and rotate at high speed for at least 5–7 minutes to ensure the fibers are fully "opened" and distributed without balling.

The Quality Benchmark: The Float Test

Buyer Beware: Many suppliers offer 24mm fibers made from recycled plastic or filled with heavy minerals. These fibers are brittle and fail to reinforce the concrete. CETEX 24mm fibers are 100% Virgin PP and have a specific gravity of 0.91. If your 24mm fiber sinks in water, it is not polypropylene and will not meet structural safety standards.
