CETEX 50mm structural polypropylene macrofiber for reinforcement - industrial flooring & highway PQC

50mm Polypropylene (PP) Fibers: The Structural Macro-Fiber

50mm Polypropylene (PP) Fibers: The Structural Alternative to Steel Mesh

CETEX 50mm Polypropylene Fibers are high-performance structural macro-fibers engineered to provide high-capacity reinforcement in heavy-duty concrete. At 50mm (2 inches), these fibers offer the highest level of mechanical anchorage and post-crack load-bearing capacity in our product range.

Designed to replace traditional welded wire mesh and steel fibers, our 50mm fibers provide a three-dimensional reinforcement system that is lighter, easier to handle, and completely immune to corrosion.

Primary Applications

  • Heavy Industrial Slabs: Ideal for warehouse floors, logistics centers, and external hard-standings.
  • Roads & Highway Pavements: Used in PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete) to improve fatigue resistance and reduce slab thickness.
  • Tunneling & Shotcrete: The industry standard for primary tunnel linings and rock stabilization where high energy absorption is required.
  • Precast Concrete: Used in heavy-duty precast segments, Jersey barriers, and large-diameter concrete pipes.
  • Marine & Coastal Structures: Perfect for docks, piers, and sea walls where steel would rust due to salt-water exposure.

Key Benefits of 50mm Structural Fibers

  • Replace Steel Mesh: 50mm fibers provide equivalent structural reinforcement to light-to-medium steel mesh while reducing labor costs and installation time.
  • Superior Ductility: Increases the "toughness" of concrete, allowing it to absorb significant energy and maintain structural integrity even after the first crack appears.
  • Total Corrosion Resistance: Unlike steel fibers, 50mm PP fibers will never rust. This prevents "concrete cancer" and internal spalling, extending the life of the structure by decades.
  • Enhanced Safety: Eliminates the risk of injuries associated with cutting, carrying, and placing heavy steel mesh or sharp steel fibers.
  • Reduced Carbon Footprint: Replacing steel with PP fibers reduces the overall weight and environmental impact of the project's reinforcement materials.

Dosage & Mixing Guidelines

  • Structural Slabs / Flooring: 2.0 kg to 4.0 kg per cubic meter ($m^3$) depending on design load requirements.
  • Shotcrete / Tunneling: 3.0 kg to 6.0 kg per cubic meter ($m^3$) for high-energy absorption (Joule rating).
  • Mixing Instructions: 50mm fibers should be added to the mixer with the coarse aggregates. For RMC trucks, rotate at high speed for 7–10 minutes. The high quality of CETEX fibers ensures they "open" and disperse uniformly without "balling" or clumping.

The CETEX 0.91 Quality Test

Technical Warning: Structural 50mm fibers must be made from high-modulus virgin polypropylene to perform under load. Cheap, recycled alternatives often "snap" under stress. CETEX 50mm fibers have a specific gravity of 0.91, ensuring they are 100% pure virgin material. Always conduct the "Float Test" on-site to verify you are getting the strength you paid for.
