Dynal Flock Fiber: Precision Reinforcement for Battery Plate

BATTERY DYNAL FLOCK FIBER

CETEX Battery Flock Fibers (commonly known as Dynal or Polypropylene Flock) are ultra-short, precision-cut fibers designed specifically for the reinforcement of Lead-Acid battery plates. These fibers are a critical additive in the active material paste of both positive and negative plates.

By creating a microscopic structural matrix, CETEX Flock Fibers ensure that the active material remains bonded to the grid, preventing premature shedding and significantly extending the cycle life of the battery.

  • Inert to Battery Acid: CETEX Flock fibers are 100% acid-resistant. They do not react with or contaminate the electrolyte, ensuring the chemical purity of the cell.
  • Prevention of Paste Shedding: The fibers provide a "skeleton" for the lead oxide paste, preventing it from cracking or falling off the grid during the expansion and contraction phases of cycling.
  • Uniform Dispersion: Our specialized surface treatment ensures that the flock fibers disperse instantly and evenly within the paste mixer, preventing clumping and ensuring a smooth pasting process.
  • Improved Porosity: The inclusion of precision-cut fibers helps maintain the necessary porosity in the active material, facilitating better electrolyte flow and gas escape.

Dosage & Usage

  • Standard Dosage: Typically 0.05% to 0.15% of the total weight of the lead oxide paste (depending on the battery type and plate thickness).
  • Mixing Instructions: Add the flock fibers directly to the lead oxide powder in the paste mixer before the addition of acid and water. Mix for 2–3 minutes to ensure uniform 3D distribution.

Manufacturer's Note: Battery performance is highly sensitive to impurities. Even trace amounts of metal or moisture can cause self-discharge or "poisoning" of the plates. CETEX Battery Flock Fibers are manufactured in a controlled environment to ensure zero contamination, zero moisture retention, and 100% virgin polymer purity.
